OCNJ provides training in independent living skills, as well as placement in independent or supervised living conditions, to eligible clients referred by the New Jersey Department of Developmental Disabilities.  For those requiring a supportive living arrangement, OCNJ provides affordable housing for people with developmental disabilities at North Oraton Homes in East Orange.  Where continuous supervision is required, OCNJ offers apartment facilities in Orange and Bloomfield.
